My sister tagged me, which is so rude. But okay I'll play......

1.. I am named after a soap opera star, she is on "As the World Turns." She is still on the show which is a good sign, I guess. Thanks, mom.

2..I love Diet Coke with crushed ice. I got hooked on crushed ice during college. Across the street from Campus there was a Smith's and in their food court the had crushed ice for their drinks. ADDICTED!

3.. My favorite place to visit is yes, SONIC, why....Crushed ice. While living in New Mexico a friend invited me to happy hour, knowing she didn't drink liquor I was confused. We ended up at a Sonic drive-in and my affair with diet coke with extra ice between 2-4 began.

4..I am a closet fan of certain shows: dancing with the stars, the hills (team Lauren), the bachelor, gossip girl and grey's anatomy. Nothing better than a route 44 and little grey's or any of the above.

5..My favorite thing to do is to go to Target and prowl the clearance aisles, a 75% off sign is like the greatest thing. (Jen knows what I am talking about) This is great to do with a route 44 and a bag of popcorn.

6..I love buying scrapbook supplies and cute scrapbook idea books. Not that I ever do anything with them but thinking that I have to have it. I need a garage sale with my route 44. This is like the 6 degrees of what do with a route 44 or something like that. I couldn't tie the soap opera name with a route 44, though.

A Hallowed Eve......

T.J. informed me his pumpkin was not included with the trapoline picture.

A scarecrow, a star wars jedi, a sick Texas Longhorn fan, and ......oh yeah T.J.. hadn't decided on a costume yet. (Go figure)

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. The pumpkin carving is my favorite. With the kids off track we had a great afternoon of carving and gooey pumpkin cleaning. Even T.J. got into it this year with his own rendition of the "Swoosh symbol." Trevor did his favorite baseball team, Avery, a Longhorn (Of course) and Devyn's was the suprised pumpkin. Brett helped Trevor and I did the Creepy bat one and spider. We had a great time.

Birthday Bonanza

The fall brings us a busy time, with a family of 6 and 5 of our birthdays are in September, October and November. T.J. starts us off, then Avery and Devyn, Brett and myself. Poor Trevor, a Spring birthday. Here are just a few pictures of the celebrations.

Cousins....

You know when the cousins get together, there is fun to be had all around. As in this picture at the temple, all well behaved for a moment. Once we got them away from the echo tree. All chaos broke out not long after. These guys are such great kids.

Officially Retired

The retirement ceremony took place on Friday, October 19th at Creech AFB, in Indian Springs. It was really great. Brett did a good job for being so nervous. It was so nice to have our families and friends there for this occasion. Colonel King did a great job of presenting Brett with his retirement. The color guard did a nice flag ceremony and it was nice to be reminded what the stars, stripes and colors represent. Congrat's Dawgie.

Bad Spelling Day

It was truly a bad spelling day for me. I have always accused Brett of being a poor speller but now I have to eat those words (which I hate). In Devyn's birthday blog I wrote the word "Where" instead of the correct spelling of "Wear." And then to top it off I wrote on Devyn's birthday cake the wrong spelling of Birthday. Now all the kids were singing the word "Birthay" and I will never live this one down.

Devyn turns 6

Our little Devyn turns 6 today. She was quick to inform us that now it takes 2 hands to show her age. She is always so happy and has been such a fun addition to our family. She is a little different than her big sister, she loves to where dresses, everything has to be pink, has about 18 purses, loves to paint her nails and all dolls with nails, enjoys a good shopping spree to the Gap, Gymboree or Old Navy, she absolutely loves a great pair of shoes, especially if they make noise when you walk. This girl knows what she wants, when and where and all we see are dollar signs ahead. (But she's worth every penny). Happy B'Day Dev
